Cheryl Wright-Davis

Cheryl Wright-Davis serves as UC Berkeley’s Black Alumni Association’s (BAA) President. In the late 1970s,Cheryl was admitted to University of California, Berkeley as an Affirmative Action scholar. Later, she graduated from Cal in 1983 with a B.A. in Sociology.

Also, as a dual recipient of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), she espoused education as a vehicle to change the trajectory of her life and that of her family. Cheryl previously served as President of the Community Board of Directors for East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC). EOYDC provides Bay Area youth with opportunities designed towards educational equity.

ABOUT

She holds an M.S. in Health Care Management and a Project Management Professional – PMP® designation.  Cheryl is a former Project Management Consultant where she worked for over 30+ years in Risk Management, Health Care Administration, Insurance and Financial Services.

As Board President of Cal BAA, she is committed to promoting opportunities to uplift the entire Cal Black community of alumni, students, faculty and staff.
