The 2nd Annual Berkeley Black Bears Summer Convening of Alumni is being hosted by the University of California, Berkeley Black Alumni Association (Cal BAA) at the Royalton CHIC Spa and Resort Cancun, MX from July 11 – July 15, 2023. The Royalton CHIC is an adults only, all-inclusive premier destination.

This event is designed to bring together Black alumni from different graduating classes, pre and post Proposition 209 experiences, different backgrounds, and careers to engage in discussions, listen to thought leaders, and enjoy fun and social activities!
This year’s theme is Berkeley’s Generational Black Excellence: Celebrating Blackness Throughout the UC System which is inspired by the call to action to grow and strengthen our community. Through this we will not only celebrate the collective accomplishments of Black Alumni; but also inspire them to utilize their resources to benefit the Black community.
